Singer-songwriter Missy Higgins is the latest high-profile Australian to add their voice to the Close the Gap campaign, signing the campaign pledge in Melbourne on Tuesday 26 June 2007. The pledge calls on Australian governments to take action to achieve health equality for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders within a generation.
The 23-year-old singer/songwriter from Melbourne has enjoyed phenomenal success in her homeland and is currently riding high in the national charts with her new album On A Clear Night still sitting in the top 10 after two months in stores.
After recently completing a sold out Australian tour, Missy has just announced an extra handful of shows in regional Victoria in the coming weeks. Visit www.missyhiggins.com for more details.
