In October the UN General Assembly will meet to vote on the next steps towards creating the Arms Trade Treaty. The Australian Government has already shown that it is a supporter of the treaty. But not every state involved in discussions is convinced.
We need political leadership and Australia must push for states to start formally negotiating a tough treaty. You can help by writing to your MP and ask them to raise it with the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Add your voice to those who have already asked their MP to take action. –
