Oxfam’s response to horrifying chemical gas attack in Syria:

“Oxfam condemns the horrifying attacks in Idlib. The pictures of children being asphyxiated with chemicals are truly shocking and must prompt action.

“These attacks are the latest example of the terrible suffering endured by the Syrian people in this terrible conflict and are the tragic result of the failure of the international community to halt the use of chemical weapons and attacks on civilians.

“Oxfam is calling for the UN Security Council to agree follow up action to resolution 2209 on the use of chemical weapons in the country to ensure those responsible are held accountable and civilians are no longer subjected to attacks.”
