Organisation news article written on the 11 May 2023

The Oxfam Australia board of directors and management is pleased to announce the implementation of a new Enterprise Agreement for staff for 2023-2026.

The world and our organisation have changed significantly since our last EA commenced in 2019, and this revitalised agreement reflects our ongoing commitment to be recognised as an innovative, values-led organisation and mirrors our contemporary ways of working, reflecting our feminist approach to development and our work.

It places an emphasis on flexibility and wellbeing for staff at the same time as ensuring sustainability and accountability to the people we work to support.

The agreement affirms our ongoing commitment to:

  • Being a sustainable, equitable and flexible organisation
  • Successfully attract, recruit, recognise and retain high performing staff
  • Deliver on the public’s expectations that we are a progressive, evidence-based, rights-focused employer

The board and management thank those involved in negotiating the agreement for their constructive engagement and considerable contributions to building this critical foundation for our ongoing work to tackle poverty and inequality.
