Oxfam Australia Chief Executive Helen Szoke has expressed her sadness at the passing of a participant in the Trailwalker Melbourne this weekend.
Dr Szoke said the deceased man’s next of kin had been notified.
“I am saddened by the news that one of our participants passed away on Friday night and my thoughts are with his family during this difficult time,” she said.
“We are continuing to provide support to our participants, staff and volunteers.”
Dr Szoke said many teams were passing the finish line today and applauded them for their amazing achievements.
