In the central north of Mozambique, there is a province known as the land of the goat, so called because of the animal’s significance for farmers and their families.

But Tete province is not just full of goats. It also possesses huge reserves of coal and iron ore deposits, and it’s where multinationals like Rio Tinto are doing business.

Oxfam calls for Floriade volunteers

Oxfam is calling for volunteers to help out at its inspiring GROW Garden and stall at next month’s Floriade festival in Canberra.

The international development agency – one of two Floriade charity partners – will be showcasing its GROW campaign, which aims to raise awareness of how we can all contribute to tackling world hunger.
