One of the strongest storms ever recorded, Hurricane Patricia, is about to hit the west coast of Mexico’s, south west coast packing wind gusts of more than 320km.

The threat of flooding and landslides remains high as Typhoon Koppu moves across the northern Philippines.

Typhoon Koppu has struck the Philippines, making landfall in the north eastern province of Aurora, pummelling the coastal community of more than 200,000 people with wind gusts of 195km/h.
